My daughter’s room is furnished with wood furniture

My daughter’s room is furnished with wood furniture. It is not a set, but it all goes together pretty well.

Her crib is from Child craft and her dresser is from Sauder, but the rest of her furniture is either handmade or antique.

We were very lucky that we didn’t have to buy much of her furniture, only the dresser and a few accent pieces. Family gave us the rest of her furniture.

My son has a bedroom made out in John Deere

My daughter has a room with a bed that has a white comforter with big bright red flowers and red stripes at the bottom of the comforter.

Her furniture is light wood colored with circle knobs on her dresser. Her carpet is brown.

If I had more money I would buy her a canopy bed with a white clear canopy on it with a white down comforter.

She would feel like a princess. My son has a bedroom made out in John Deere. His curtains are long and white with John Deere logos on them.

His comforter on his bed is camouflaged with green. He has a John Deere quilt on it that I bought for him for Christmas last year.

The quilt matched perfectly with his comforter so I had to have it. He has John Deere sheets and toy tractors in his room to accent the room. Read more »

I bought my son a set of bunk beds from Rooms to Go

I bought my son a set of bunk beds from Rooms to Go.

It comes with a desk and desk chair on one side, and a four drawer dresser on the other side, in oak.

The bottom bed is on wheels and slides out to make it easy for me to clean under it. Like a lot of children, my ten year old son likes to put things under the bed when told to clean his room.

We also bought him the matching bookshelf for his wall, which he uses half as a bookshelf and half as a flat surface to put anything he doesn’t want on his bed i.e. a plate of snacks, a juice box, and his N64 player and games.

We chose that particular set because it had the desk and dresser built in to the bed itself, and went well with his powder blue colored walls and the size and shape of his bedroom, which is rectangular, and measures about 14X15 feet. Read more »

My daughter’s bed is a beautifully crafted white bed from Raymour Flanigan

My daughter’s bed is a beautifully crafted white bed from Raymour & Flanigan.

It is the centerpiece of her room (although, she would’ve preferred a bunk-bed!).

For the dresser and nightstand, we bought pieces from Target at a much lower price. These pieces aren’t used as much as the bed, and they match the bed perfectly.

Her walls are painted lavender with white stenciling, so her room has an English garden type of theme. Read more »

What to consider when furnish children’s room

We have a very sturdy walnut bunk bed and two small 4 drawer walnut dresser. It was not purchased in the same area so they are not the same brand.

The walnut bed is a bunk bed the upper portion of the bunk is a twin size bed and the lower portion is a pull out metal Full size futon mattress.

It does not have a detachable ladder yet the head and foot board are large enough and spacious enough to be considered the ladder. This particular bed was purchased at MOR Furniture I am not sure of the specific brand.

Along with the Walnut Futon Bunk Bed we have two walnut four drawer dressers that where purchased at a Furniture outlet store. The quality is not as dependable as the MOR Furniture Bunk Bed However it was at a reasonable price and for younger children that are not very cautious of how they treat their furniture it is acceptable. I purchased a regular crib and other kids furniture at the local super center

When my daughter was born in 2004 I purchased a regular crib at the local super center. It was just a pine color crib, made by Graco, and it was not expensive.

I purchased the matching 5 drawer dresser to go with it. At the same time I also purchased a small rocking chair with small ottoman. This chair was also quite inexpensive, costing us around $100.00 at the time.

You definitely need a rocker when you have a newborn, for feeding, etc. When my daughter turned 3 I decided it was time to buy her a “big girl” bed.
